About Betty

Well, I don't want to bore you with a lot about me so this will be short.  I do love to paint and truly enjoy teaching and sharing my love for painting. I am not confident enough to call myself a fine artist, maybe a student of art or emerging artist. To me, art seems to be ever learning. There are so many things and images, new mediums, brushes, techniques, etc. to try and to learn. I love it, it keeps my interest going.

Besides being fun, it is relaxing and a wonderful way to get away from the hectic schedules. Kind of like slipping away for a little bit.

I enjoy painting from photos of landscapes, scenery, our feathered friends and some animals, painting structures like old barns and buildings and familiar sites of local towns and towns where I have visited. Occasionally I paint saws (esp. like the old two handled cross cut saws) with tractors and farm scenes.
My favorite painting mediums are; Acrylic, Watercolor, Pen & Ink. Favorite brushes must be Loew-Cornell so it seems since I have dozens of different types and sizes including the Berry Makers.

Giving a painted gift from the heart, your thought and love goes into each piece you paint. Your friends and family will cherish them.
Join my classes and paint a meaningful gift for your family and friends.

Betty Reineke, One Stroke Certified Instructor (in short OSCI, since 2002), my husband and I reside in Athens, AL. We occasionally like to sell our works of art (paintings and woodwork) at art and craft shows and also sell privately to those that want something special.
I also like to paint not only in One Stroke technique but many and have developed my own special techniques I use in painting lovely landscape scenes of different subject matter.

I have acquired awards from County Fairs for my decorative art and have been publicly noticed by Mayor Hildreth as the City of Keystone Heights (Florida) artist in 2006. The Newspaper article can be read here.

We have two lovely daughters, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

May your day be filled with laughter and rainbows full of color, Betty
