Hello and Welcome to my site.
I hope the paintings and information about my classes you see while visiting my site will give you a lasting impression and inspire you to paint and/or maybe try some new techniques.
After learning the basics of painting, the best way to develop your own technique and skills is to spread your painting wings, not only by taking my classes but also try techniques of various teaching artist's. Like anything else we do it takes practice, practice and more practice like learning to swim, the more you do the better you get.
I know, we've all heard it but unfortunately not all of us were born gifted which is especially true for me.
My favorite medium is acrylic because of the ease in cleaning up and faster drying time, not to mention the great washes and vibrant colors. I also like watercolor, its so portable. You can take a small palette of colors, a couple of brushes, small w/c pad and bottle of water and your set to go. I plan on trying Plein-Air painting hopefully soon, it really intrigues me.
Most of all, have fun and you will enjoy "that special place" painting takes you for years to come. Remember, practice goes a long way and don't stop trying new mediums and techniques, that's how we grow and learn but we have to come out of our comfort zone.
